We have been trying to quite good success(my opinion) in dampening the RNG in the early waves. The early wave experience has been my focus in the last few patches to spend the last half day testing and tuning the early levels. Some explanations and testing methodology: We'll keep tuning the early game to feel more fair. Thank you for the feedback it is really valuable in helping us focus on the right parts. It is a real shame you find it that way, but I understand.

The original endboss is wave 25, I feel the game works in theory and practice and it will take you a few hours to get there and in the process you die and learn.

I think I am around 27 hours (have unlocked everything) and I can say that I can get any run to 25+ the thing is that between 1-10 I know if it will end around 26~ or if it will go beyond 40+ and then I get to the same issue, to get a good run I have to reset a fu_ckton of times and the resets include either good rarity rng for desired slots or a boss kill on the level 5 boss. To be fair even though the level 5 boss criticism is imho correct and it's also a fair assessment that a lot of the items are just plain useless the game is also rogue-like which means that you need to get further into the game to get better stuff or better starting stuff or better odds at starting stuff so that is the only point where I have to disagree with you.

But researches are a blessing and a curse as you can get epic and legendary versions at some point, getting those early will lead up to having a good run.

You can make it past wave 5 just fine, especially when you start you haven't even researched half of the other useless crap you can get yet.īut the level 5 boss issue should be fixed with patch 1.05 but you are right about that one, unless you get given something really good you will simply not kill it.
